Petry Kuhne served as the General Contractor in constructing this 23,000 square foot facility at the main campus for Parkland College. It consists of a pre-engineered metal building with offices, classrooms, restrooms, and a large shop/lab space. Site Development for the project included concrete pavement, site lighting, and utility modifications and extensions. The super structure of the building is a pre-engineered structure with metal siding and standing seam roof. Aluminum storefront system entries and windows, masonry wainscoting, sectional overhead doors, and hollow metal walk doors complete the exterior. The MEP systems consists of new fire protection, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and an amazing exhaust system to evacuate fumes from ag machinery being worked on in this facility.
With the ability to self-perform the metal building and carpentry for this project, we were able to control the quality and schedule providing an excellent end product for the leading JUCO in this region.
