Abbott Power Plant supplies a majority of the energy demand for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campus. It is a cogeneration facility (combined heat and power). Working in this facility requires a high standard of customer service, with fast response times, and minimized disruptions to the daily functions of the plant. Petry Kuhne has provided services to UIUC Abbott for decades from door and hardware replacements to complex projects involving structural steel, structural concrete, and carpentry.

Our tradesmen, most of whom have worked for many years at the plant, know what is required to get the job done while working closely with the client to ensure plant operations are not disrupted.

Safety is always top priority on every project we perform. We require a team of construction veterans, highly trained, experienced safety and quality experts on the projects we perform at this important facility.
